Raykova Alina won the first gold medal of the Universiade-2017 (Almaty, January 31, 2017)

January 31, 2017. Kazakhstan biathlete Raykova Alina won the individual race at 15 kilometers on the Winter Universiade-2017 in Almaty.

Raikova overcame the distance in 59 minutes and 48.7 seconds. Behind her finished another kazahstani girl Galina Vishnevskaya (+2: 21). Ukrainian Nadia Belkina became the bronze medalist of the competition.

Other representatives of Kazakhstan Daria Usanova and Elizabeth Belchenko were the fourth and fifth, respectively.

In addition, in competitions in skating Ekaterina Aydova was third at a distance of 1 500 meters, thus brought to Kazakhstan fifth medal of the Universiade in Almaty.
